China's Larger Plan

China is shown keen interest to invest in neighbor countries of India. China wants to take control of things in South-East Asia and to weak the Indian authority in the region. India is one of the fastest growing economies in the world. India is bidding to become a permanent member of UN. As China has old rivalry with India on the issue of Aksai Chin. China and India fought Sino-Indian War on this region in 1962. After this war China and India never have a good relation with each other. Although China will invest $20 billion dollars in India on infrastructure in next five years but it’s seems to be like divert the Indian attention from all activities of China to take unprecedented dominance in a region. China is trying to cover India from every side by investing seaports in different neighboring countries of India. China is trying to build maritime silk route to undermine India importance and to save trillions of dollars of goods transport. For the construction of Maritime Silk Route China is investing to build different Seaports in a region. China will build four Seaports in a region to create a whole new route for transport.

1) China will construct Sonadia deep sea port in Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh. This will give another option to the business community to Import/Export different goods around the Globe. This will ease the pressure on Chittagong Seaport. This Sonadia seaport might be used as naval base for China. China and Bangladesh have strong military relations. Bangladesh has several Ships, Jets and Submarines made in China and recently Bangladesh seal a deal of $203 million that offers two submarines from China. Up gradation of Chittagong Seaport is also done by China. This will also help Bangladesh to excel in a region.

2) China also invests in Myanmar to build Dawei Seaport. In recent year’s roads and railways lines were built to connect Dawei with whole Myammar to ease the operations of movement. Thailand was the first country who jumps in to build this Seaport in back 2010. Myanmar needs support of China and Japan after the exceeding cost to build this Seaport which is supposed to be operational till 2020. Although in today’s date the quantity of Dogs are far more than the Cars but this scenario is seems to be change after the involvement of China in this Project. China also trained Myanmar naval forces and given naval vessels.

3) First phase of Hambantota Seaport in Sri lanka is functional from 2010 with the help of China. China invested $330 million for the functionality of first phase of the Port. China Harbour Engineering Company and Sinohydro Company were the companies those build this seaport. This port is the second largest port of Sri lanka after Colombo which reduces so many burdens on Colombo Seaport. Port of Hambantota is a part of China larger plan to decrease the dominance of India in a region. Chinese nuclear submarines make several visits to Srilanka despite the strong displeasure of India.

4) Gawadar Seaport Pakistan is a most threatening seaport for India in a region. This Seaport will be constructed by Chinese Companies and will be under control of China for 40 years. This Seaport is built to join China with the Gulf through the Gwadar-Kashger Road. China will be able to join Gulf in just 1,300 km which will save trillions of dollars for China. Pakistan will purchase 8 submarines at cost of $4 billion to tackle the Indian Navy Supremacy in a region. India is directly involve in Baluchistan to train and fund locals to stand against Pakistan. This port will also demolish this ideology of separation.
“Next upcoming years will be very difficult ones for India”.
